Not Your Grandma's Cookies

Grandma's Cookies
With a name like that, you might think it is clean and unjunky. But you are WRONG. Look at this:

Does this look like your Grandmothers cookies to YOU?
No is the right answer. It is a pile of sugar, HFCS, TBHQ, Caramel Color and Artificial Flavor. The chocolate chip Grandma flavor even has 0.5g trans fat!

Oreos + recipe

Oreos are the #1 bestselling cookie in America. But how bad are they? Let's look: 3 cookies are 14g sugar and a whopping 0g fiber. And the ingredients:

INGREDIENTS: UNBLEACHED ENRICHED FLOUR (WHEAT FLOUR, NIACIN, REDUCED IRON, THIAMINE MONONITRATE {VITAMIN B1}, RIBOFLAVIN {VITAMIN B2}, FOLIC ACID), SUGAR, PALM AND/OR CANOLA OIL, COCOA (PROCESSED WITH ALKALI), HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, LEAVENING (BAKING SODA AND/OR CALCIUM PHOSPHATE), SALT, SOY LECITHIN, CHOCOLATE, ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR.

HFCS: Likely HFCS-90 which can cause liver damage
Artificial flavor: Hidden chemicals.
White flour: Lacking any nutrition.
Sugar: Why use sugar when you have HFCS

Instead make these

A visual of ketchup

This was taken by me. What you see is a tablespoon of ketchup and a teaspoon of sugar. Comparison here

Ketchup 14g
Sugar 4g

Almost 1/3 sugar!!!
And you use two and a half squirts so here:

Ketchup 35g
Sugar 10g

10g sugar is the same as:
10 bowls of Cheerios
1 bowl of Trix
1 peanut butter cup
5 slices bread
4 jolly ranchers
1/4 cup ice cream
And compare to mini wheats (21% sugar) ice cream (20% sugar).
In conclusion, stick to the serving size.
